EDP workshop : FINAL INSTRUCTIONS *** VERY IMPORTANT

Dear Student,

Please read the following instructions very carefully.

1. EDP workshop will begin at 8:30 am sharp on Monday 01st Aug 16. You will be requested to come in another batch if you come late. This will be obeyed VERY STRICTLY.

2. The workshop will end at 5:30pm.

3. To be ELIGIBLE, you MUST SHOW me the components on Sunday (Today) 31st July 16. 

4. Please read all instructions sent to you carefully. You will not be disappointed or surprised.

So to avoid discomfort :

1. Get the list of components
2. Buy them 
3. Show them to me today (without fail)
4. Get my clearance.
5. Come to workshop before 8:30am.
6. Bring enough FOOD and water you may required to stay for the whole day.

EDP Workshop on 01st Aug,2016 - Monday.

Dear Students

I will be starting preparations for Monday's EDP workshop from Tomorrow.
For those who did not attend the briefing session but wish to join, do as follows:

1. Please send an email to hodece@live.com
2. Read the reply email from me carefully.
3. Meet me for a briefing today (28th July, Thursday at 2:20pm).
4. Follow last minute instructions and join the group on Monday.

Rules for EDP Workshop

Rules for the workshop    
  1. Must attend every session of the  workshop.
  2. Must  be PUNCTUAL to all sessions.
  3. Must strictly follow the rules prescribed for each session.
  4. Must submit all deliverables in the FORMAT prescribed on the activity sheet.
  5. Must maintain a dairy/log book in which all activities must be recorded.
  6. Must bring all tools listed for the workshop without fail for all activities.
  7. Must regularly keep checking the blog spot (http://15ecesvit.blogspot.in), your email and SMS to keep in touch with the latest information delivered by the workshop coordinator.
  8.  Must check with the coordinator/fellow participants in case you do not have internet or cell phone.
  9. Must interact in a professional manner, with the coordinator, faculty and fellow participants.
  10. Must focus on activity given for the hour without disturbing other participants.
  11.  Must be careful while working with the tools and equipment to avoid injury to you and fellow participants.
  12. Must be careful while handling the lab equipment to ensure safety and security of them.
  13. Must strictly abide by the above rules and any other rules that may be framed during the workshop.
  14. Must try to attain your full potential by thinking and acting in an innovative and creative manner.
  15. Must take special care to keep your belongings like bags, books, cell phone, cash and other valuables safe. DO NOT LEAVE THEM UNATTENDED.
In the rare event of a student coming LATE to the workshop, the workshop on that day will  end late by DOUBLE the amount of delay caused subject to the approval of the other participants. Else, the late comer will be asked to leave the workshop.

EDP Workshop:
Students who got emails from me on EDP workshop are requested to meet me in our college at 9:30am on Monday (tomorrow) sharp without fail.
We will disperse before 12noon.

EDP : Electronic Design Practices Workshop - Announcement

Swami Vivekananda Institute of Technology
Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering




Dear Students

We are  conducting the FIRST Electronic Design Practices Workshop (EDP Workshop) for 2015 class before  31st July, 2016.

Only TWENTY students will be allowed in the first batch. 
There will be more batches at regular intervals.
It is FREE for all students. 
The cost of tools and components must be borne by the student.
The tools purchased will be with you forever and help you make many projects in the future.
Costly equipment and instruments will be available for use in the lab.

Students desirous of participating must do the following :

1. email me to hodece@live.com expressing their willingness.
2. Check their email for confirmation of registration.
3. Meet me personally in the college one day before the workshop  and collect the list of material to be purchased.
   (costing between 600 - 1200 rupees depending what you want to buy).
4. Report sharply at 08:30AM with the purchased items and a note book on the date of workshop.
5. Make  adequate preparations for water, breakfast and lunch.
6. Read the terms and conditions for the workshop and sign willingness.
7. If a student has purchased the material and is sure about the items, then the student must send an SMS / email stating the same.
8. Students who come to the workshop without the complete set of tools and components will be requested to take the next workshop.

Any student who does not comply with any one of the above conditions will not be allowed in to the workshop BUT may attend any future workshop.

Students may leave the workshop ANY TIME in case they find it unsuitable for their academic plans.

The workshop is aimed at recognising, nurturing and creating a group of electronic engineering professionals who interact towards propagating the essential spirit of Electronics Engineering IRRESPECTIVE of the year of study.

The students participating in the workshop are expected to be highly self-driven and yet understand the importance of team-work and mutual-cooperation for their career development.

The candidates are expected to actively participate in each and every activity, analyse its effectiveness and provide CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM to improve the contents on a continual basis for the betterment of their community of professional.
