Performance Appraisal and award of points

Performance Appraisal and award of points - regarding.

Student Leaders follow these instructions carefully so that students in your group get the points they deserve. Your appraisal will depend on how well you implement the guidelines given to you :

1. 100 POINTS will be awarded to a student who is present in the department between 11AM and 4PM everyday from 01st to 10th of September, 2016.
2. 100 POINTS will be awarded to a student for maintaining neat record of his/her daily activities on the project. These must be handwritten, dated and timed in a standard format. Each student can choose his/her own format. The record must contain the work done on the day, specific problems, learning opportunities, interesting observations, and any other such useful and interesting insights into projects. Each student's record will be closely scrutinised from 10th till the end of semester.
So, plenty of time for careful scrutiny.
3. 300 points will be awarded for the test to be conducted after the project is completed. This test will contain basic questions from the content prepared by your class on all the subjects. The questions will be prepared by the Training group in your class.
4. 50 points will be awarded for students for explaining the work they have done through a 5 minute presentation.
5. 50 points will be awarded for students for viva that will be conducted at the convenience of the faculty in the department.
6. 300 points will be awarded for an examination that will be conducted on your learning on the important concepts explained during the project.

Situations where you may face deduction of points.

1. Each student must understand that this project is taken up to assess your capabilities to take up more serious projects. So, any display of unprofessional attitude at anytime under any provocation (intentional or unintentional) will invite penalties. However, penalties will be imposed through deduction of points, ONLY after the student or group is given oral or written warnings.

2. Respect your organisation structure (no matter how unhappy you may be with it). Work for the group cause and let your ego go on a vacation while you are on work. If you have a grievance, put it across to your Subject Leader. Grievance against the subject leader can be sent to the Project Manager. Keep working while your grievance is under consideration. Corrections can take time.

Remember : ALL IS FORGOTTEN WHEN THE PROJECT IS SUCCESSFUL.

3. You must learn to work with and under constraints. Optimise your efforts through careful planning and coordination.

4. You are expected to be present in your designated spot in the designated time. At other times you must be in the class or lab. Attendance will be taken at random any number of times during the day. Absence without permission will invite deduction of points. A movement register will be kept in the department to help your Leader know where you are : Work spot/Lab/Class. You must fill in the movement register if you are going to Library/Emergency.

As a client, the department is  ready to help all students do it meaningfully.

I will be available on phone  and in the department to clear ALL your doubts.

The faculty will also be giving you valuable training to take up mini project during these ten days.

Very important :We will talk to each student/team individually and help to take up main project related work very early so that commendable work can be done in 3-1 itself.
